Biography
Daniel Yates
I am the father of two fantastic children and husband to an amazingly eccentric wife. I graduated at Liverpool Hope University in Theology & Religious Studies and a large collection of my articles have been published in pagan periodicals and one time printings. My postgraduate research is looking at seasonal effects on religious practices in northern England.
I have received a variety of commendations and awards for my photographic work. In June 2011 my work featured in two exhibitions in the UK, one in Liverpool and the other in Manchester. My first book Arcanum was released in October 2019 and is now available via Anathema Publishing and a work of poetry entitled Poetica was released in August 2020 direct through this website. A third book focusing on ritual practice is scheduled to be released through Atramentous Press in the near future.
My interests are quite varied, ranging from stone and wood carving to learning to play a variety of instruments. Currently I am spending time with the hammered dulcimer, Trossingen lyre and the fujara, a Slovakian traditional overtone bass flute.
