The Mirror of the Opposer
This work, limited to this one offering, is a large altar piece standing at 45cm tall and 35cm wide. Made primarily from plaster and resin this artefact has been crafted for use by those wishing to engage in the work of the Opposer as found within the Sabbatic corpus - in particular that of Qutub.
Its countenance is such that the user is encouraged to focus their engagement into the centre of the object, ‘the point’. Drawing in the appropriate aspects can be found the 1st and 22nd Azoëtic letters on the vertical axis serving as means of ingress and conjunction for the solely manifest. On the horizontal is found the sacred letters of the 9th Azoëtic Aat shifting purpose to that of Phallatharvu, Minister of the Opposer and the Great Watcher Within.
The ‘Glass’ of the mirror is in fact an obsidian mirror blessed and sanctified to the work of Phallatharvu. On the reverse of the artefact is a space to temporarily situate the black mirror so that when faced from the front it’s surface can be seen through the centre and thus it becomes The Mirror.
Provided also is a Talisman of the Shade, hand made in collaboration with the spirit of the piece.
